European part-funded project EASY presents its first results at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels
Committee of the Regions in Brussels hosted EASY Intermediate Conference, where the project, funded by Intelligent Energy for Europe programme, made public its first results. Partners from four European countries are working together under this initiative to develop new environmental models to improve energy efficiency in the Mediterranean basin.

The EASY project aims to the definition of LOCAL INTEGRATED ENERGY SYSTEMS, fed by renewable sources, specifically designed and customized for semi-natural and remote small urban areas (tourist settlements, islands, rural urbanizations, etc.) of the Adriatic and Mediterranean regions. The EASY local communities will be characterized, apart from the presence of remarkable quota of energy from renewable sources, by the capability of covering, in the area of reference, the whole productive and distributive cycle of energy, minimizing the environmental and economic costs deriving from its transport.
